Oddly enough, on certain issues I was more of a feminist than my professor
We watched a Spanish movie where the plot hinges on a male nurse having sex with and impregnating his comatose patient.
The movie was quite good, but I said in class that I thought the director was a little too sympathetic toward the nurse, considering that he was a rapist.
Surprisingly, this prompted a class-wide argument over whether or not having sex with a woman in a coma is rape, with the ostensibly feminist teacher telling me that I didn’t get it; that the sex with the coma patient was a beautiful, loving act, and that if she had been awake she would have been okay with it.
